 Advent Mass

To begin the celebration of Advent, Father Ted led us in an Advent Mass. Each class had prepared an advent wreath which were then blessed by Father Ted. Father Ted spoke about the meaning of advent and how each candle has a different meaning and represents a part of the journey to Jesus' birth.

Children in Year 2 had prepared the reading, responsorial psalm and had also written their own bidding prayers. These included praying for those who don't have a family at Christmas, those who don't have enough money for presents and for Father Ted as he guides the Parish in this important time of celebrations.

Children in Year 1 were responsible for bringing up the offertory, which included a statue of Mary and Joseph to be blessed.

All Saints Mass

Year 3 and 4 were invited to attend the celebration Mass for All Saints Day at our church, St Austin and St Gregory's Church.

All Saint's Mass is held, not only to remember Saints, but also to remember all those who have died who were members of our local church congregation.

We joined those from our Parish along with Father Ted to take time to worship the work of the Lord and to remember different Saints and their commitment to Jesus Christ. Father Ted's message was 'Build up that goodness to make sure you are in that number', and how we can all be Saints in Jesus' name if we dedicate our life and time to living through him.

The children had a wonderful morning and it was so very special to be able to attend the church and see Father Ted in his place of worship.

First Holy Communion

We are so proud of our children who joined others from the parish to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.    This is a very special time for the children and their families and we thank Fr Ted and all involved in the children's journey towards this special sacrament.

We very much look forward to welcoming them in receiving their communion at future school and parish masses.

May God Bless these children and all who have supported them.

Mass at St Gregory's

As a Catholic school, comprised of both practicing and non-practicing Catholics, members of other Christian denominations, and other faith communities, The Liturgy of the Eucharist contained within the Mass setting is the primary means by which we participate in communal worship.

Fr Ted regularly visits our school and invites children, families and staff to take part in the Mass.

KCSP Beginning of Year Mass

Our Year 6 children were really happy to join children from all schools across the trust to take part in the KCSP Mass at Aylesford Priory.

Archbishop John Wilson said mass and it was a very special occasion.

It was a wonderful day of prayer and thanksgiving and a lovely feeling to see that we are a part of the KCSP family.

YR Visit to Church

Children in Reception Class paid a visit to see Fr Ted at our church, Ss. Austin and Gregory.

Fr Ted showed them around the church and explained the importance of each area.  The children asked lots of questions to find out more about the church and what it means to belong to the parish family.

Crowning of Mary

Each year we celebrate Mary with a very special mass or assembly for the whole school.  Children lead the special day with readings and bidding prayers and lay flowers for Mary.
